Empowering fertility journey

Designing connected experiences for fertility care, patient guidance, and communication across mobile and web platforms.

The challenge

Fertility treatment is rarely a single interaction.

Patients need guidance through a long and emotionally demanding journey, while clinics need structured data, communication tools, treatment protocols, and a clear overview of every patient.

The challenge was to design a connected ecosystem that supports both sides of the experience — patients and healthcare professionals — across mobile and desktop platforms.

My role

I was involved across the entire product ecosystem.

Patient mobile app

Journey guidance, period tracking, wellbeing content, reminders, communication.

Clinic platform

Patient management, treatment protocols, questionnaires, medical overview.

Design system

Cross-platform components, white-label architecture, multi-brand support.

One design system, multiple clinics

Shortly after Figma Variables were released, I rebuilt the design system architecture to support white-label deployments. This allowed multiple clinic brands to run from a shared design foundation while keeping maintenance efficient.

Key areas

Fertility journey guidance

Helping patients understand where they are, what comes next, and what actions matter most throughout treatment.

Clinic workflow management

Supporting doctors and clinics with patient insights, treatment protocols, and communication tools.

Shared design system

Building a scalable design system across mobile and desktop products with white-label capabilities for multiple clinics.

Healthcare communication

Making complex medical information easier to understand without oversimplifying important details.

Reflection

This project resonated with me on a personal level.

At the time, several people around me were going through fertility treatment themselves. It made the problem feel real and meaningful beyond the screen.

Leeaf combined healthcare, education, communication, product design, and genuine human impact in a way few projects do.

It's still one of the projects I'm most proud to have worked on.
